HOPE+, an innovative 21st century initiative to unleash the global power of the Internet to tackle the problems of the world, was announced last December 17 with the launch of their new site. Hope+ is super-charged and propelled by the enormous passion, enthusiasm and idealism of Barack Obama's call to global service.
According to Phil Noble, founder of PoliticsOnline and one the founders of Hope+, "it is the biggest, most exciting and potentially most important project -ever". HOPE+ will use the new social network technologies to empower connections, resources and relationships among people and non profit groups throughout the world.
Among the many speacial features of HOPE+ will be that its members will develop specific projects with measurable goals. The projects will be voted on and then completed by HOPE+ members utilizing their social network relationships and other online tools.
With the launch of HOPE+, the founders want to demonstrate the power of their motto: HOPE + Action = Change.
